The practical terms behind each portrait order.
These terms explain the basics of ordering, proofing, payment, delivery, and customer responsibilities for HARWOOD Animal Portraits.
What you are ordering
Every commission includes a custom digital pet portrait file created from your chosen reference image or images. Where selected, printed options are produced from that approved digital artwork.
Reference images
By uploading or sending photographs, you confirm that you have permission to use them for the commissioned portrait. The quality and clarity of the supplied images can affect what is possible in the final artwork.
Proof and refinements
A proof stage is included before final delivery. Up to two rounds of small refinements can be requested before approval. Larger changes, change-of-brief requests, or changes requested after approval may require a new quote or may not be possible.
Timing and requested dates
If you need the portrait for a specific date, include that when ordering. Requested dates are requests, not guarantees, until confirmed. Digital-only artwork can be requested from 2 working days ahead from the 12pm cut-off. Printed orders need at least 5 working days from the same cut-off before print production and courier timings are taken into account.
Payment
Where online checkout is enabled, payment is taken through the secure checkout step shown on the website. If online checkout is not enabled, your request may be recorded first and the next payment step confirmed with you directly.
Delivery
Digital portraits are delivered electronically. Printed orders are produced from the approved artwork and dispatched using the delivery method shown during checkout or otherwise confirmed with you. Delivery times for printed orders depend on both production and courier timings.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact the studio as early as possible. What can be changed or refunded depends on how far the commission has progressed, whether proofing has already taken place, and whether print production has started.
Personal use
Final artwork is supplied for personal display, gifting, and personal printing unless otherwise agreed in writing. Commercial use, resale, or reproduction beyond normal personal use is not included unless separately agreed.
